My Civilization was important because things that happened back in Egypt carrying on to today's world. In Egypt they had some jobs, with these jobs they had to farm, make/grow their food, and they had to do alot of hands on work to build and create new items that would help them survive and live. Their language and religion can still carried through out the world because back in their time they spoke Arabic and english then they had different religons their main religon is Islam they were also republic and in today's world we speak english and we have some repulicans and we as well have different religons. My Civilization impacts life today because some of the things that they did in the older days are done here like farming, some people are still using hands on with making there way through life. We have the different religons today just the same as other countrys and stuff. Achievements are made today because with everything that was built and as life went on things got bigger and better and knew things got invented.

The Aztecs were from central america, but mainly mexico. Today where the Aztecs main city was (Tenochtitlan) is now home to Mexico city. There Government was arranged around religion. You could only rule if you were elected by priests. Aztecs also had schools. They taught Civics, history, and Religion. Aztecs were polytheistic, but also had a chief god by the name of Quetzalcoatl. They also spoke Nahautl. Without Aztecs we wouldnt have certain medicines and medical practices that we have today. And multiple snakc foods including Popcorn and Choclate.

Graham, this was very well written. I found this very interesting on how the government was arranged around religion. In the United States we separate the government from religion. We treat all peoples of faith with equality and respect.

My civilization was on the Aztecs. Their religion was polytheistic and Quetzalcoatl was the cheif God. Many of the woman had specialized jobs such as being preiests and weaving. Some jobs were building temples, as well as pyramids. Also the Aztecs mainly spoke Nahauti. A major city belonging to the Aztecs was Tenochtitlan. Their government was based on having a ruler which was a king. In schools the Aztecs learned about Civics, as well as History and Religion. The way Aztecs impact life today is by the way their religion was based, and today many school teach the students about Religion, as well as History and Civics. One of their acheivements that we use today is the cigarette, which was derived from Mexico.

The Shang Dynasty originally lived in the lower regions of the Yellow River during the "Xia Dynasty." They were established by King Tang and they ended up having over 30 other emperors in there time. Agriculture soon became a big importance in the Shang dynasty, especially fishing. They almost always fished in fresh waters. They were also a bit on the crafty side. They did a lot of famous bronze work such as the "Simuwu Quadripod" which weighed over 800 lbs. As for music, they used their bronze making skills to make instruments.

My civilization was the Summerians. They impacted to world because of the many things they did. Their skills were fishing, farming and doing things with their hands. They also are know for inventing the wheel and the irrigation system. With out the wheel today the world wouldn't have half the stuff to day.

My civilization was the Summerians. They have a very big impact on the world we live in today because of the things they invented and what they did back then. The summerians made a calender witch is close to the one we have now but only 2 seasons. Also they spoke sumerian and they wrote there language down on clay tablets. Next, they were very good farmers a lot of there towns and cities were near rivers and it was great soil for them to farm. So this is why Ancient Sumeria is such a great civilization

The Nile River Valley Civilization is an important civilization to study. Many of their achievements have had a lasting influence on life today. They developed an early system of writing known as Hieroglyphics. Hieroglyphics is a form of communication, and language is the "cornerstone" of cultures. All cultures use some form of written communication today.

The Shang Dynasty were very important because they achieved many different goals to make life now, easier. One example is that craft workers improved the art of bronze making so it would be easier to make useful things such as artwork, weapons and just everyday materials like cooking pots. They were also pretty good at agricultural duties. In the early days, they would use digging sticks to plant crops in Huang He Valley until 1650 B.C. when strong rulers overpowered farming villages. They impacted our life today due to the ideas they had. For example, how they developed their own form of writing to communicate with each other. They used pictographs and ideographs (also known as symbols) to create the letters. There were about 10,000 characters in their writing system that they would have to know to be able to read and write. Their achievements are used by allowing people to communicate better and giving them ideas for newer and advanced inventions such as the bronze making.

My civilization was the Inca's, who were a small tribe that lived in the city of Cuzco. They called themselves, "the children of the sun". The Incas are important because they were the first people to educate both boys and girls. They could feed nine million people with their farming jobs and skills. They spoke spanish, and could channel water from mountain streams. They farmed crops such as corn, beans, and potatoes. They learned from older people surrounding their area. They worshiped many gods, and the tribe chief was called, "sun god". The place where they worshipped was called the Temple of the Sun. The Incan government was the emperor owned all of the land and wealth, and officials told people what to do. My civilization impacts life today because farming got bigger, and more world known, and in most schools now, boys and girls are being taught together.

Shang Dynasty is important to todays civilization. One of there highest civilization was the art of bronze. Most imformation from the bronze artifacts came from oracle bones. Since Shang helped out a lot with the bronze making, we now have better useful materials in life. They also obtained jade, stone, bone and ceramic artifacts.
The Shang dynasty has also developed a new system of writing. There was also great importance in agriculture. Fishing helped the chinese economy grow. Everybody today goes fishing or does craftwork that some of the people in Shang developed.

My civilization is the Sumerians. The biggest thing that had an impact on today is the calendar, which was created by Sumer. They also invented the wheel, which made a difference all through out later and early history. The automobile would have not been a success or even a possible idea without the invention of the wheel. Sumerians were also the makers of the irrigation system, and for Pennsylvania and other places that have a lot of crops, they were a big impacts.

The Nile Valley Civilization's way of life impacts life today. They developed a 365 - day calendar that was based off of astronomy. Today, humans still use calendars and they are quite important in day to day life. Most everyone has access to one and, for some, they are used on a daily basis. Calendars tell what the date is as well as keep track of upcoming appointments, holidays, and many other things which makes life a little easier.
